Trace 4001
4001 S Willow Street, Seattle, WA 98118, Seattle
Affordable Housing Steps Away from Light Rail Transit
Trace 4001 is a transit oriented, residential project along South Willow Street in the Othello Neighborhood of Seattle.
At eight-stories, the building will include a generous west-facing rooftop patio for entertaining or taking in the mountain views. The new mixed-income development is proposed to have 195 studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartment homes, with rents of 40-80% AMI for those who work in the greater Seattle area. The project will include at grade, loft units, as well as commercial space to support local, authentic neighborhood restaurant or retail tenants.
Trace 4001 is being designed as a northern gateway to the Othello neighborhood with generous setbacks, lush landscaping at street level, and a new public plaza along Martin Luther King Jr. Way South. Its building exterior will also include an artistic, placemaking stairwell tracing the cultural history of the neighborhood.
Steps away from Seattle’s light rail, future residents will be less than 15-minutes from Pioneer Square, Capitol Hill, Downtown Urban Core, South Lake Union, University of Washington, Roosevelt, and Northgate. The Light Rail also connects to Sea-Tac International Airport, making it a transit passport and car ownership truly optional. However, for those who chose to drive, the project will include underground parking for vehicles and bikes.
