Our latest multi-family project, Tanager Apartments, is located in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Connecting two adjacent sites, the development is made up of two towers wrapped around an internal, central courtyard which serves as a common amenity space and view for internal units. This mixed-use project addresses the much needed affordable and workforce housing shortage, bringing both residential and retail space to the area.

The buildings are in a transitional area, well-served by transit, and were recently upgraded with bike, car, and community transit infrastructure. The Board & Vellum design aims to protect and enhance the pedestrian experience where sidewalks remain wide, with plenty of room for window shopping, bike parking, and outdoor seating areas for commercial spaces.

Building owners HAL Euclid will work with local artists to create several facade murals which will illustrate Capitol Hill’s spirit and tradition of live music, food, and rich culture.
