Northgate by the Numbers
It’s estimated that the entire project will take up to eight years to complete. And in that time, the current mall’s 55-acre property will be with the first two mixed use buildings breaking ground in mid 2023. The finished project will account for up to 1000 new units.
One notable feature of the buildings will be their “wrap” style construction. In this design, the parking garage sits in the core of the building, up to eight stories. The apartment units then surround or “wrap” the garage. It’s a rare feature in the northwest, but there are big benefits, like increased vehicle security and improved aesthetics for the building face.
But Northgate will have an even bigger aesthetic feature. Between the first two buildings, we’re building a four-story glass skybridge. A unique feature in the multi-family market that will require careful planning to coordinate the complex structure with high end finishes.
