Leading the strategic direction of Compass, Frank oversees all facets of the organization. With a passion for business development, preconstruction and estimating he drives project execution through a “front-loaded” approach construction. 

Frank has over 26 years of experience in development, consulting and general contracting primarily in the residential market segment. 

Ryan provides direct oversight of our operations throughout the Project Life Cycle. He ensures client satisfaction and organizational longevity through a focus on process implementation and professional development.


With nearly 20 years of experience, Ryan has been involved with a broad range of product types ranging from mixed use/ multi-family to infrastructure.


As General Superintendent, Steve manages as our constructability analysis, labor forecasting, logistics and scheduling from conceptual design through closeout and warranty. Through his scheduling, plan reading and constructability courses he has created a platform for upward mobility, retention and scalability.


Steve has more than 40 years of construction experience. He began his career as a carpenter and has been involved in mixed use/ multi-family, assisted living and hospitality projects.

David Diltz

Director of Operations

Steve oversees all finance and accounting operations. His responsibilities include corporate legal matters, tax and regulatory compliance, and risk management.


Steve is a CPA and holds over 20 years of experience with a diverse background of project management, contracting, budgetary management, scheduling, design review, and firm understanding of finance, tax consulting, and regulatory compliance.

David ensures operational integrity through data acquisition, synthesis and dissemination. He helps steer organizational alignment through the development of cross-departmental standards and practices, technology integrations and the application of modern business principles.


David began his tenure with Compass in 2014 and has experience in acquisitions and entitlements, scheduling, logistics planning and an expertise in organizational development.

Building on a Solid Foundation

We can't build something great without a solid foundation; our leadership team continues to carry on their predecessors' knowledge, approach, and most importantly, their founding values of quality, consistency and transparency.


The late Ken Coleman established Compass in 1998 and what started as a small company operating out of his home, is now one of the most prominent general contractors in the Puget Sound.  Upon Ken's retirement, the company's leadership continued with Dan Selin and Pete Anderson who lead Compass to where we are today.  Dan and Pete continue to provide guidance as members of the Compass' Board of Directors.
