Shoring Up

February 2023

The site has completed installing all soldier piles!

As you probably saw, there was a drill rig on our site that drilled the piles into the ground, while simultaneously, an excavator dug to the bottom of the site’s grade.

While the excavator was digging and removing dirt from the site, the shoring sub began installing 2×12 and 4×12 pressure treated plywood along with the interior and/or exterior face of the pile, to complete the temp shoring installation.

The plywood acts as a wall that the concrete sub will shoot shotcrete too. The shotcrete wall will make up the perimeter garage walls; there is one level of below-grade parking, providing a pet wash, trash room, and (35) parking stalls.

This project is looking really good, and we’re excited to see the next phase.
